{"id":2244,"date":"2016-08-27T09:40:23","date_gmt":"2016-08-27T09:40:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qualipro.vn\/?p=2244"},"modified":"2024-09-04T06:58:01","modified_gmt":"2024-09-04T06:58:01","slug":"qualipro-partners-with-the-aff-to-protect-vietnams-first-bear-rescue-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qualipro.vn\/?p=2244&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"QualiPro partners with the AFF to protect Vietnam&#8217;s first bear rescue center."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>QualiPro calls for a stop to the removal of the bear rescue center.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October, 2012:<\/strong> As the main contractor for the construction of the Vietnam Bear Rescue Centre (VBRC) since 2007,\u00a0funded by Animals Asia Foundation (AAF),\u00a0we have witnessed firsthand the dedication and hard work that AAF has invested in building Vietnam\u2019s first bear rescue center.\u00a0We are proud that QualiPro has been able to contribute to this project alongside such a dedicated partner as AAF,\u00a0in such a worthwhile cause as the VBRC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately,&nbsp;since September 2011,&nbsp;construction of the bear enclosures has been halted due to an order from Tam Dao National Park.&nbsp;More seriously,&nbsp;in October 2012,&nbsp;a removal order was issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD),&nbsp;citing \u201cnational defense\u201d as the reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe that these orders violate the Prime Minister\u2019s 2008 approval to allocate 12 hectares of land in Tam Dao National Park for the development of the bear rescue center.&nbsp;Therefore,&nbsp;in this statement,&nbsp;we strongly support AAF\u2019s fight against the removal order and call for further public support for AAF in this matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size\"><strong>Let us finish what we started!\u00a0Let the bears continue to enjoy their new homes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Update in January 201<\/strong>3:\u00a0In January 2013,\u00a0after considering the appeals from AAF and the community,\u00a0the government allowed the construction of the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center (VBRC) to continue.\u00a0This is great news for AAF and the endangered bears!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>QualiPro calls for a stop to the removal of the bear rescue center.
